Monster Porn Podcast is now open for submissions of short fiction up to 3,500 words for our series of intermittent bonus episodes. Pieces that pack a bigger bang into a shorter package are preferred, e.g. stories that feel complete and meaningful under 2,500 words.
What are we looking for? Well, if you listen to MPP, you should have a good sense of whether your work might fit. MPP runs an eclectic mix of horror, weird fiction, speculative fiction, surreal fiction, dark fantasy, and even, occasionally, science fiction. The unifying theme is that we like it weird. Sometimes we like things goofy and absurd; sometimes we like straight-faced drama or writing that makes you think.
We do not accept actual porn. Except maybe for our personal collections.
If you believe you have what it takes to be a monsterpornographer, email your completed manuscript in doc, docx, or pdf format to email@example.com along with a short author’s bio. Expect reply within three weeks.
We prefer previously unpublished works. If the submitted work has been published previously (including on a personal website or social media), please cite that publication in your submission.
When you submit your work to Monster Porn Podcast, you are certifying that you own the appropriate rights to the submitted work, and you are granting Monster Porn Podcast nonexclusive audio and text rights, and nonexclusive, perpetual worldwide electronic distribution rights.
MPP is not a paying gig at this time. But we can offer you the ability to tell all your friends, colleagues, and high school reunion attendees that you have done work in Monster Porn.
MPP solicits music for use in podcast episodes. Send your track, or a public link to your track (e.g. Soundcloud, Youtube, Bandcamp, etc) to firstname.lastname@example.org with any other information you deem relevant. Artist’s bios are encouraged to aid in our selection.
Factors for acceptance include not only quality of performance, recording, and composition, but, perhaps even more so, whether the music fits the theme and tone of an upcoming episode. Most genres are welcome, from acoustic to electronic to hard rock.
MPP is interested in collaborating with up-and-coming and established artists. To inquire, email email@example.com or get in touch via social media.
Have MPP fanart? We’d love to see it! Share it with us on social media and we’ll share it with the world!
